Each Sunday, I'll try to sum up some thoughts on the days action in sort of the style you see from Peter King on SI.com's MMQB column. So here's my first installment.
- I now have no idea who the favorite in the AFC is.
- ESPN's Sunday NFL Countdown show has gotten downright tedious.
- The Jets with Brett Favre are decent, not great.
- The Miami Dolphins still stink.

- Last season just might have been an off-year for the Bears.
- Tom Brady is going to be sore in the morning. Don't feel sorry for him though, he's going to be nursed back to health by a Victoria's Secret model.
- The Colts run may be about to come to an end. They looked quite average tonight and you can't pump in crowd noise when you have the roof open on your new stadium.
- The Bengals and Chiefs are really bad. I mean really bad.
- Frank Gore is really good, the rest of the 49ers are really bad.
- I don't think I learned anything I didn't already know from the Philly-St.Louis game.
- The Saints are coming. The Saints are coming.
- Reggie Bush looked like a #1 draft pick.
- Houston isn't ready to content yet. That might change by November.
- Willie Parker might have been the best fantasy pick besides LT.
- Atlanta 34 Detroit 21, I'm so confused!
- The Seahawks might just be missing Shaun Alexander after all.
- The luster is coming off of Vince Young.
- All those who picked Tennessee for the playoffs will be holding the breath with Kerry Collins at QB for at least 4 weeks. He never saw a DB he didn't want to throw a pass to.
- Drew Brees is the early leader for MVP.
- Norv Turner in SD is who we thought he was.
- Shaun Merriman should get that knee done now. Maybe Vida will nurse him back to health.
